What makes your CV best?

We are currently in one of the most challenging hiring environments that we have seen in decades. Now this world requires you to be even more creative in the way you market yourself to a prospective employer. It is very much important to demonstrate how your are result driven and to be viewed as the one who can make it happen. This is an important segment to focus on the unique qualifications, skills and accomplishments.

Resume/CV – A power full tool
Every individual must remember, a resume is a self-promotional, marketing/career document that should highlight you in the best possible light, which invites you for the second look. Assume your resume as an effective marketing tool and yourself as a product. Then the potential employer is your customer and your resume is the brochure about you.

As a professional CV writer, here are my five tips for ensuring that your resume makes you talk with potential employers.

Clear & Precise
Determine your job search objectives prior to writing it. When you determine your objective, you can easily structure the content of your resume around that objective. Keep this in mind; a targeted resume is much stronger than a generic resume, so it is better to develop a different CV for each different job target. Customize your resume and your cover letter to each employer.

Do not ever rush
Hastening the process of making the resume can slaughter your chances of potential employment. You do not want to let go of good opportunities and get flooded with the ones you are not interested. Furnish your resume sufficient qualitative time to make you look like a bankable candidate.

Sell yourself on what you know
Utilize your resume to emphasize your extensive knowledge and use the interview to provide more detail and expand on what you stated in your resume. If you have reported to or worked with someone important such as a vice president or department head or someone well known in the industry, say so in your resume. Clearly explain the benefits of your skills. Remember that you are trying to sell yourself.

Delivering it to the appropriate person
Always ensure that our resume reaches where it should. No amount of drudgery in the resume will help until the recruiter reads it. If a friend is referring you, make sure that you get the email address of the concerned person right.

Usage of Language
Your resume should start with effective powered words such as Planned, Managed, prepared, and monitored. Currently all the companies are sourcing the profile through various search queries based on the keywords, so use effective keywords. In spite of being well qualified, if your CV does not have apt keyword it will dilute your competency level. Always ensure that job description is apt for your skill and respond to them.

So folks these are my tips on preparing a CV. Hope this information will be helpful and do check out next week where I will furnish some interesting facts on.
